Mahindra have teased the upcoming XUV700 Ebony Edition ahead of its launch on March 17. Following the recent introduction of the Scorpio-N Carbon Edition, Mahindra are continuing their trend of offering visually distinct, dark-themed variants.
Teaser Hints At All-Black XUV700
Mahindra have released a teaser on their official XUV700 social media channels, showcasing the “Ebony Edition” with the tagline, “Something stunning is about to be revealed. Get ready to experience the ultimate in style, performance, and elegance.” The teaser further emphasises the dark theme with the phrase, “Dark, You’re Going Down in 5 days.”
2025 Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition: What to Expect
Exterior:
The XUV700 Ebony Edition will largely retain the standard XUV700’s design, but with a significant “blackout” treatment. Key exterior updates include:
- Blacked-out front grille.
- Blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels.
- Potential dark chrome window lining and front grille accents.
- Removal of all standard chrome trims.
Interior:
The interior will undergo a comprehensive makeover to match the exterior’s dark theme:
- Black-themed dashboard and AC vents.
- Black leatherette seats.
- Smoked chrome surrounds on interior elements.
- Retention of the dual 10.25-inch connected screens (infotainment and instrument cluster).
Features:
The Ebony Edition will maintain the XUV700’s popular features, including:
- Alexa Built-In functionality.
- Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
- Adrenox Connect with subscription.
- A comprehensive suite of connected car features.
Powertrain Options:
The XUV700 Ebony Edition, based on the top-spec variants, will offer the same engine options:
- 2.0L turbo petrol engine
- 2.2L diesel engine
- Transmission options: 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.
Pricing And Launch:
The Mahindra XUV700 Ebony Edition will be launched on March 17, 2025. It is expected to command a slight premium over the standard top-spec XUV700 variants, which currently exceed Rs. 22 lakh (ex-showroom).
