
2011 Mercedes-Benz Gullwing
There’s something about winter testing–it’s almost always dark, snowing or foggy. In this case dark and foggy, but we can still bring you these new photos of the upcoming Mercedes Gullwing caught while driving in the snow, at -26 degrees Celsius.
It’s not clear yet if the new coupe will wear the Mercedes symbol, the AMG badge or both but we can agree that it will have a tough market when it’s ready for sale. Hopefully the financial crisis has calmed down until 2010 when the Gullwing will be introduced to the world.
Expect a twin-turbo V-8 with roughly 600 horsepower to find its place in the aluminum spaceframe, connected to a 7-speed gearbox. The body will be made of carbon fiber and aluminum to keep weight down.
